Simsbury Celebrates

‘Tis the season for celebration and Simsbury CT celebrated to the max at “Simsbury Celebrates” on Saturday, November 26, 2011. “Simsbury Celebrates” was a tremendous success. I have attended past “Simsbury Celebrates” events (known as “Opening Night” prior to 2002) and cannot remember a time where so many people turned out! The events were filled, food lines long, restaurants crowded and Hopmeadow overflowing with people. A definite success!!!

“Simsbury Celebrates” includes:

Indoor and outdoor entertainment,

good food from local restaurants,

trolley and train rides up and down Hopmeadow (Simsbury’s main street),

the famous Fire Truck Parade of decorated fire trucks from Simsbury and the surrounding towns and Santa,

and, a night cap of fireworks at Simsbury Meadows’ Performing Arts Center!

“Simsbury Celebrates” is held each year on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving. If you were unable to attend this year’s celebration, mark your calendar now for next year’s celebration. It is a wonderful evening of fun for adults and children alike.
