The day after Thanksgiving is always an exciting time year as everyone rushes out to retailers all over town in hopes of finding the perfect gift for that special someone. You’re sure to find just what you’re looking for at the Wesleyan Potters Exhibit and Show in Middletown, Connecticut. Since 1955, this exhibit has showcases some of the most amazing works from artists who specialize in various forms of craft making. The event is sponsored by a non-profit cooperative guild founded in 1948, called the Wesleyan Potters. This association, located right here in Connecticut, promotes the art of craft making. The association also offers year-round classes led by qualified artisans.
The Wesleyan Potters Exhibit will be held in the Gallery, which is a central part of the Wesleyan Potters’ guild. For the exhibition, the Gallery will feature various juried crafts from over two hundred artists specializing in pottery, jewelry, sculpting, weaving, and more. Want to know the best part? The Grand Opening & Gala Celebration is on Friday November 26th, from 10:00a.m.-9:00p.m. If you can’t be there on opening night, don’t worry. The exhibit will be open until Sunday December 12th, so you will have over two weeks to find that special Christmas gift.
